Here is a little bit about me!

I have been married for 23 years to my wonderful husband Bill. Our son Billy graduated from Loyola University in May with a Bachelors in Finance/Sports Mgt. He is currently working on the Cubs grounds crew for his third season while looking for a full time job. We are diehard Cubs fans and were thrilled that he got to work on the field during the World Series! :)

Our daughter Cassie is a freshman at Illinois State University studying to be a teacher! I am thrilled that she is carrying on our family’s love of educating children. Her first two weeks of independence went well and we are excited for all that is in her future.

I grew up in Arlington Heights and went to Buffalo Grove High School, along with my husband. I graduated from National-Louis University with a Masters in Elementary Education and have an endorsement in Middle School Social Studies as well. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, sewing and going to the movies.

This is my fourth year teaching fifth grade. I am committed to providing a creative and engaging learning environment for your child. My goal is to inspire my students to become lifelong learners. Every day I strive to give them the tools they need to succeed in every way. I work with students on taking on more responsibly in the classroom as well as taking ownership for their own learning. These skills are definitely important and will help them succeed in fifth grade.
